There was once – and still is, in fact – a storytelling agency called Book on a Tree. This hardworking bunch worked with authors, illustrators, agents, and publishers all over the world. They loved their jobs, but there was one big problem. A nightmare, in fact. And day by day they became more disheartened. What was it? Editorial rights and royalty management.
So, the creative crew set out in search of an antidote. They sailed through the sea of editorial software available, voyaging abroad and trawling the coastlines for a royalty management treasure trove. But they couldn’t find anything that worked for them. All they wanted was a complete, affordable, and user-friendly solution to help them manage editorial rights and calculate royalties easily, quickly, and precisely. But everything out there was created by programmers with no personal understanding of the challenges, and nothing catered for a company their size.
In the end, they came to a desert island and moored up. The only way to get what they needed, they realised, was to start with a blank canvas. To create the first editorial software made by book people for book people. And that was how they came up with the idea of My Royal Tree, software created especially for small and medium publishers, agents, and authors worldwide, with all your needs in mind. But they were storytellers, not software experts, so how could they realise their dream? They searched the skies for an answer and discovered high-flying software house GKT group, which became the perfect partner.
Together on the island, the team worked day and night to build My Royal Tree, a next-generation cloud-based software that’s simple, fast, and reliable. Admiring their finished creation, they knew it could help other small businesses in the publishing industry. So, setting out once more into the seas, they decided to bring My Royalty home and share it with you, to help you save time and money, and to expel your editorial rights and royalty management nightmares.
